So, episode thoughts for Doppelganger

Not to self:  When next applying for job do not accept offer from Stargate programme.  These people really don't like doctors.

Although maybe the hotness available might be some compensation?

I love Take That.  This is a revelation that has come over me this week.  They are one of the groups of my generation and hearing their songs takes me back to my school days.  I wasn't even a big fan then, in fact I think I like their early stuff more now than I did then.  And I love their new album - because our local radio station is unoriginal I have heard SHine every day this week during my 15 min drive to work, and it stays in my head all day.  Probably helped by the fact the route is lined by billboards with the M&S ads on.

I just love the way they are successful after everyone saying Robbie was the only one who had achieved anything.

The fact that I quite fancied Jason then, and he now is looking incredibly hot helps too;P

I love Strictly Come Dancing.  Anton and Brendan are my dancing gods.  When Anton does ballroom, I swear he barely touches the ground.  *sulks that they never put him with anyone good*

And now it's the rugby.

My Saturday night is very sad, but makes me very happy :)

EDIT  OMG we're through!  This World Cup is possibly bad for my health.

So some comments on Reunion, largely meandering, written while I watched.

In summary.

For me, an improvement on Adrift, hopefully it'll continue improving :)

Fortunately work was quiet and I managed to see the second half of the rugby. 

OMG - thaqt was one of the most exciting matches I've seen in years.  Screw the patients, I was having palpitations!

Am still pretty jumpy with excitement :).

OMG - just managed to get a copy of A Dog's Breakfast.  Yay!  And now I'm working all weekend so don't get to watch it on repeat :(

This may be the reason I've just abandoned the 3 Beck/Shep fics I'm in the middle of and am now writing McBeck...

Hmmm.

Loving the film - can't wait for a proper region 2 copy to become available so I can have the extras too.

I have been rewatching early SGA and seeing season 1 reminds me why I fell in love. This is what I want fandom to be like again for me.  So I am going to try not to rant as much as I have so far about a couple of the changes.

This may be impossible - for RL reasons, I was attached to Carson, but I'll try, and at the very least I'll just have to make two posts per ep - one positive and one with the rant so it can be avoided!

Having watched Adrift again though I'm appreciating it more now, I think maybe I missed out with season 3 because I watched it off LJ and half the fun is reading everyone else's comments. 

Looking forward to the weekend... (although I'm working so not sure when I'll get a chance to download :(

There are an awful lot of good Sunday fan vids out there, and I seem to have a somewhat masochistic streak which is making me watch them despite the fact they make me well up.

But it does bring to mind one good point about that episode which, in my ranting, I omitted to comment on... Lorne and Sheppard in dress blues, and Radek and Rodney in suits!!! Mmmmm....

Soooo - new series of SGA

I was off the internet for the last 18 months, so I've only just been able to catch up with the end of series 3.  All well and good up to Sunday - it had it's moments, although I did think Kolya's end was a bit brief, and to be honest unnecessary - I like having him as a character that might still be out there *g*

I had to force myself to watch Sunday - I don't think I would have if series 4 hadn't been so imminent, but I thought I had to get past it and move on.
